Cabin Fever

We try to get some variety in our shipboard routine. I have started going aft to get fresh brewed coffee first thing in the morning. I enjoy a first cup in the quiet and darkness on the stern. I have managed to bring a mug back to the cabin for Eve without spilling any so far.

More than just a few of us have cabin fever.  It is hard to admit, as we have another two months to go before the end. But we have concluded it is temporary.

The weather is cool, cloudy, and today very, very windy (Beaufort 8). It has been cool for some days; it is fall in southern Australia. The wind from the south has been blowing cool air our way since leaving Sydney. Not much to do outside on the ship on such days.

We are just rounding the southwest corner of Australia, and are slowly heading toward the equator.

We all know it will get warmer. Tropically warm. And new experiences await. We will be in Bali in two weeks. Then Singapore two weeks after that, which Eve is especially excited about.

Time to dress for dinner.

Tomorrow, Bunbury.
