The day’s outing began with a closer look at the Museum of Tomorrow, Then on into the city center for some shopping. Eve found a belt and two dresses at street vendors which appealed to her.
Following a pause for a refreshment, we took the Metro to Rio Sul, a large, well known shopping center, filled with familiar brands. Worth a walk through to be reminded how small the world of fashion and merchandising is.
Paused for an expresso, and then back to the Metro, and back to the ship. We have seen and embraced all we can of Rio.
The first of seven legs on our world journey has ended here in Rio. About 300 passengers had booked just this first leg, and they disembarked here yesterday. They were replaced by ca 500 passengers who had booked the leg starting in Rio. Our ship is a little fuller.
We cast off tonight at 20:00 to start the second leg. Destination: Santiago, Chile.
Tomorrow’s stop: Ilhabela

Enjoy your next stop for the beaches.
