Buzios

Brigitte Bardot “discovered” Buzios in the 1960’s, and it quickly became known as the St Tropez of Brazil, at least among the jet setters.

We now know why.

Brilliant tropical flowers. Lush vegetation enveloping the hillsides.  Long white sandy beaches separated by steep rocky coves.

Eve and I hiked a bit of the coast. The rocky parts, fairly isolated, offered majestic views.  We paused for lunch in the middle of the main tourist strip.

The restaurants were full, but our grilled fish lunch was delightful. We got in a swim before our return to the ship.

Tomorrow, Rio de Janiero.
