Sanur is one of the more upscale beaches in Bali. Walter and Marianne had visited it yesterday. It sounds like a good goal for today.
A paved walking/bicycle path extends along the coast. Plenty of trees along the way provide protection from the direct sun. But the air is very still. It feels hot. One is compelled to drink lots of liquids.
Balinese fishing boats are everywhere. I am fascinated by the graceful construction of the outriggers.
A large, extremely modern shopping mall filled with shops (the usual suspects) invites our attention. Restaurants on all 3 levels look out over the beach. The air conditioning is lovely!
We want a little beach time. We find a spot to stop. Eve spies a small crab, who moves only when we are not watching him.
Having exerted ourselves enough, we meet our driver, whom we booked for the day. He takes us back to the ship.
We bid Bali farewell tonight. Tomorrow: Lombok
