A visual highlight was our visit to the Wintergarden, a botanical growing house near the War Memorial Museum. We wandered slowly down the aisles.
We took some nourishment at a cafe before walking to a trendy shopping district, where we bought a few (untrendy) necessities. Then, hopped back on the bus. We rode for a while in silence, absorbing the views and commentary.
Hopped off on the easternmost end of the loop, where we walked a bit of the shoreline. Rangiroto Island lay directly offshore before us. Hopped on the bus to continue our route to the port and walked back to the ship.
After dinner we met Bremen on the rear deck. After a short while, we were joined by Rostock and Dessau. Music was played, the conversation flowed, beer and sekt were downed. Then the dancing started.
Goodbye, Auckland
